A little About Myself…
I grew up on a crop and cattle farm near Columbia South Dakota. My three siblings and I learned a lot about life and hard work. We definitely raised a little cain in the process. I was for sure a tomboy. I hated showering and getting dressed up. The only time I would let my mother touch my hair was for dance recital; that was its own rodeo. I had always wanted to be a veterinarian up until high school when I found out makeup and boys weren’t all that bad. I changed my mind and decided an orthodontist was the way to go. I had a little bit of an obsession with perfect teeth, I must admit, but that too faded.
The summer before my senior year was a life-changer. I went in to get my senior pictures taken and it was so much fun. I walked out of there feeling beautiful and confident. I quickly decided that I wanted to make people feel that way, too. That last year of high school couldn’t go any slower; I was so antsy to get started! May finally came and I graduated with honors from Groton Area High School in 2012.

That August I moved to Massachusetts for photography school. My now husband, Tyler, came with me and that seemed to help a little with the homesickness. I attended the Hallmark Institute of Photography and it was the best decision I could have made. I learned a lot in such a short amount of time.
After I graduated we packed up and drove to our new home, West Fargo, North Dakota. Our two cats we adopted, Gus and Boris, did not enjoy the 1,600 mile ride. Over the course of a couple of months we added two small dogs to our family, Dudley and Bazzle. You could say I live in somewhat of a zoo, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Now that Tyler and I are finally married and have decided to start expanding our family with actual human babies, we are planning on moving back to the South Dakota area. We would really like our hypothetical kids to grow up close to family and can’t wait for this new chapter in our lives!
